José Pajares is appointed Representative of the International Union of Lawyers (UIA)

José Pajares, Partner-Director in Zaragoza of CREMADES & CALVO-SOTELO ABOGADOS, is appointed again by the International Union of Lawyers (UIA), Representative of the UIA in Working Group V (Insolvency Regime) of the Commission United Nations International Trade Law (UNCITRAL).

Previously, between 2008 and 2012, he held the position of President of the UIA.

Insolvency Commission. In his capacity as Chairman of the Insolvency Commission and subsequently as representative of the International Bar Association, he has actively participated in the UNITED NATIONS COMMISSION ON INTERNATIONAL TRADE LAW (UNCITRAL), WORKING GROUP V, INSOLVENCY REGIME in Vienna between on November 17 and 21, 2008 and in New York between May 18 and 22, 2009, April 19 and 23, 2010, April 21 and 25, 2014, May 26 and 29, 2015, May 2 to 6, 2016, May 10 and 19, 2017, May 4 and 7, 2021, April 18 and 21, 2022 and between April 17 and 20, 2023.

The UIA Insolvency Commission could be considered one of the work commissions with the greatest international involvement given that a situation of insolvency of a company located in one country affects its subsidiaries, suppliers, workers, creditors... in other countries of the world.”
